More about Debbie
Debbie Willis, Realtor
Originally born in the Marshall Islands, Debbie moved to the USA at a young age. Residing in California until the age of 10, her family relocated to Yukon Oklahoma where she remained through high school. Debbie attended the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. During college, Debbie worked full-time as a top-selling leasing agent for one of the first luxury apartment living concepts in the metro area. She was also a top producing agent for corporate and fully furnished apartment living. While working as a leasing agent, Debbie came to develop a passion for helping people find a home.
Shortly after graduating college, Debbie purchased her first home in the historic heart of Edmond. While not recommended for most, she navigated the process without assistance from a real estate agent and learned some of the ins and outs of purchasing a home. She remained in the house until she met her husband and relocated to NW Oklahoma City in 2009. However, Debbie kept the Edmond property as an investment property. Before the age of 26, Debbie had purchased her first home and now had her first investment property. Her passion for homeownership and investment properties has grown ever since.
Debbie earned her real estate license in 2016. While Debbie serves all facets of the real estate market and nothing excites her more than ensuring your real estate transaction is processed as smoothly as possible whether buying or selling, she truly loves working with home buyers to visualize the potential of that diamond in the rough and helping investors find incredible properties to build their portfolios. Debbie continues to build her own investment portfolio and diversify it further.
Debbie has a diverse professional background which prepared her for success in Real Estate. She provided marketing services to a large, local Architecture & Engineering firm, managed business operations and technology projects for local small businesses, and was an executive assistant for a local oil and gas company. Debbie is also an engaged member of the local health and lifestyle community. Debbie has taught Barre3 since 2012 and you can still find her teaching classes weekly at Barre3 Classen Curve.
Debbie has an amazing husband, Tommy, who is not only smart (he’s an engineer) he shares a lot of her same passion for home design and has the DIY skills to prove it. They have taken their 1950’s NW Oklahoma City property and fully renovated it inside and out…by themselves. Once again, not recommended for most, but there’s no better way to be an expert in something than tackling it yourself! Debbie and Tommy have a rambunctious daughter, Olive, who keeps their lives interesting but most importantly teaches them about patience and living in the moment.
Debbie’s favorite book is “Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell and her favorite podcast is “Real Estate Rookie” – part of Bigger Pockets.
Debbie is an Enneagram 6 and her Myers-Briggs is INTJ.
